Attendance Matters

School attendance is vital to students' achievement.  Students who develop patterns of good attendance are much more likely to be successful both academically and socially.  When students attend school they get better grades and score better on standardized test.  It is our responsibility to teach students the importance of attendance now so they are prepared for the future.  Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children attend school daily.  When parents are at work, students should be safe at school. Thank you all for improving this year.  We look forward to greater improvements in the future. Remember: ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

In an effort to promote good attendance, we ask that you:

  • Be sure your child attends school every day and on time dressed in our school uniform (K-8).
  • Submit notes from your physician and/or dentist when your child is absent.
  • Communicate regularly with the teachers, counselors, administrators, and/or school principal.
  • Meet with you child’s teacher regularly (attend school events, parent conferences, and IEP’s).
  • Make doctor and dental appointments after school or on school holidays.
  • Maintain a schedule for your child at home.
  • Provide consequences for your children; be consistent.  Praise your child. Be Involved!
